Honolulu Campus to Offer Associate Degree in Health Information Technology
Career advancement in the field of Health Information Management requires significant skills and technical knowledge. Essential certifications validate a professional’s expertise in this rapidly growing field. The Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification is the springboard for career advancement in Health Information Management. To take the RHIT exam, you must be a graduate of a college or university that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CHIIM).
A CHIIM accredited program in Health Information Technology (HIT) will soon be offered by Heald’s Honolulu Campus. Many in the healthcare industry today express that they are excited to have this offered at the Honolulu Campus. Heald’s HIOP program is designed for Health Information Management professionals interested in advancement opportunities as well as individuals seeking a fulfilling career in healthcare, but who shy away from the clinical environment.
